We just finished setting up the Android SDK on both computers and there were some problems with the path to the SDK but that is now fixed we also downloaded new API levels.

Cool! I'm a huge fan of Scratch, and this is another example of the use of a block programming language to make introducing computer programming more accessible. It's a great idea. It doesn't make programming "easy", since the hard part about learning to programming for most beginners is mastering the logic involved, but what it does is allow that to be the only focus by getting rid of the syntax issues that get in the way of learning. By also providing something learners want to program, in this case spells, it also motivates learning and helps make it fun.
